What has Happened: As a follow-up to our previous SITREP, the protests in Iran are entering their third week, and at least 500 protesters have been killed, and more than 10,000 people have been arrested. Iran has now been offline for more than 72 hours after the authorities shut down internet access and telephone lines. President Trump is scheduled to be briefed Tuesday on specific options to respond to the protests in Iran, a sign that he is considering action to punish the regime for its crackdown on demonstrators (as he has previously threatened).
